About Upstage

Upstage Productions was founded in 1990 by Shirley Bull. Upstage’s first production was an adaptation of A.A Milne ‘Winnie-the-Pooh’, which toured the country for a year to sell out audiences and critical acclaim. This then led the way to many more child friendly touring productions which include ‘Paddington Bear’, ‘Budgie the little helicopter’ and many more.

Upstage has been the resident pantomime producer at The Radlett Centre in Hertfordshire for over 10 years, producing classics such as: Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, Dick Whittington, Beauty and the Beast, Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and of course the magical Cinderella.

Shirley has written all the pantomimes that have appeared at The Radlett Centre. The past 9 productions have been directed by Victoria Ward, and Rob Dowton is Musical Director.
